Again..Fuck the holidays..But, New Years is one I can handle. For several reasons.
1. My chances of getting laid sky rocket- I don't know what it is about New Years Eve. But It just seems like females are all ovulating a.k.a horny as fuck. They are also drunk which makes getting laid a whole lot easier..Nothing like saying goodbye to the old year and hello to the new one while getting into some serious strange son.
2. People get really hammered- I'm in training for a bodybuilding competition so I'm opting out on Alcohol for the evening..Which is fine because it's fun to be the guy who remembers everything and gets to make fun of his friends. Plus females like a guy who isn't on his 15th Rum and Coke and isn't whispering in her ear "I love you baby, let's go back to my place I'm gonna do your face".
3. New Years Resolutions make me giggle-These are my favorite. I'd say 98% of people who set these resolutions are trying to lose weight...They say "This is my last night to go crazy! Come Monday I'm at the gym. I got my new shoes, and a bunch of Under Armor gear..I'm ready." Yep..This is the time of year when my gym gets overrun by a bunch of retards that think they can lose weight by doing 30 minutes of cardio and 15 minutes of side bends. In a couple weeks they will give up because they didn't meet their lofty goal of losing 60 pounds in two weeks.. Now you're saying "Gosh Kyle, your a jerk." I'm Not a jerk. I'm realistic, and I have seen this happen year after year..
If you're genuine, and you want to not only lose weight, but become a healthier human being. Here is some advice.
1. Nutrition is the most important factor-Without Nutrition you might as well throw in the towel. you need to be educated on what your body needs. You don't need any magic diet pill. I can't speak for everyone, but most people need a high protien/high fat/low carbohydrate diet. This is the formula bodybuilders have been following for years. Now your saying "I don't wanna be bulky." SHUT THE FUCK UP. It takes years and years to get "BULKY". I hardly think 3 months of training is gonna make you look like a bodybuilder..That's like saying what we do is easy. So SHUT UP!
2. Steady state cardio is only good for fasted cardio- Every day I go to the gym and I glance over my left shoulder and I see the same group of fat bastards doing the elliptical machines or walking on a treadmill. They've been doing it for a long time. They probably noticed about ten pounds of fat loss in the beginning and nothing since. This is because their body's have adapted to the workouts and it does nothing for them now. people need to be pushing their body's to lose fat. that doesn't mean 30 minutes on a stationary bike while reading US WEEKLY. That means sprinting so hard that you think your gonna vomit. Try walking for a minute followed by sprinting for a minute. Perform for twenty minutes. That's how you lose weight. As I said in the beginning, steady state cardio does have it's place. It should be done in the morning first thing after you wake up. It should be done on an absolute empty stomach. The workout should not be hard. It should be fairly moderate. The purpose for this is to begin burning calories before they are consumed. It's like heating your car engine when it's cold outside.
3. Weight training is necessary- If you want to look good naked you need to be training with weights. Especially if you have some chub. If all your doing is cardio you may lose weight but you will not look good. You will become skinny fat. That's worse than regular fat. Training with weights is what gives you shape and definition. And so help me god if I hear anyone say " I don't want to get bulky".
4. Reevaluate your crew- You need to surround yourself with positive like minded people. Your boys that like to go to the bar every-night, bye bye..They will have fun with out you. Your girls that eat a bunch of ice cream and talk about how much they hate men, peace out..It sounds harsh, but the fewer people you have around you tempting you with evil shit the higher your chances of success.
So that's it..Don't just go to the gym and start working out. Develop a game plan Read some books. Here is a great book for beginners, or anyone for that matter. I've given some good information here. Go out there and make me a liar and show that you can do it.
